I came racing into the studio this afternoon running late even though I was striving not to be late and disappointed that I was. I would like to blame the vet who was an hour late this morning, but then I am sure that had to do with an emergency situation out of his control. Anyway, finally I am at the studio to find the giggly, nervous Nasha. I am not-so-secretly obsessed with her, because she is the kind of woman who makes you want to dance and sing at the top of your lungs in the middle of the street no matter who is watching. In addition to this splendid feature she is also an amazing Naturopath Doctor in Durango at Namaste Health Center. I am so grateful to her for ending my week with a belly full of laughs while still achieving a friendly and professional head shot. Such a beautiful woman inside and out.

Dealing with Cancer
Last week our Mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. That caught us by surprise. After recovering from the "worst case scenario" reality Wesley and I decided that we would support my mom by shaving our heads. My mom was not in favor of this option and suggested that we just wear pink lipstick instead. :) On Sunday we had a head scarf tying party with my Aunt Debbie and our mom. Prior to that my girlfriend Carson Jones came out to take some generation photos of our family before my mom looses her hair. All of the unmarked images below we owe gratitude to Carson for. You can see more of her work online at www.redscarfshots.com. Thank you Carson and many thanks to everyone who has supported us so far and sent positive energy our way. We feel it!

Carolyn and Brandon
Wesley and I are excited to photograph Carolyn and Brandon's wedding this August. Wesley booked their wedding this year while I was in New Zealand and I finally got to meet them last week to do their engagement photos. They are so sweet with each other and did a great job loving on each other and ignoring the camera. High five!

Generation Shoot
Our friend and client Crystal called us with news that her Grandmother was struggling with some health issues, so Crystal wanted to have a family generation photo shoot done. I am so glad that we were able to document this for her. Her sweet girls and nephew eventually stole the spot light. I love seeing new fresh life next to wise old life. There is something magical about being around both these energies.

Travis and Amber
Travis and Amber called and informed me that they were planning a wedding in Hawaii and wanted to get some engagement photos done prior to the wedding. My heart skipped a beat at the mention of "wedding in Hawaii." Hopefully they will decide it is extremely necessary to fly Wesley and I to Hawaii to document there wedding. ;) Amber cracked me up through this shoot. She was giggling so much I don't think she had time to breathe... well except to steal some kisses from Travis.

Telluride Take Over
Meghan and Aaron caught the eyes of many locals and Telluride tourists on Saturday July 11th when they strolled through town followed by all of their wedding guests. Meghan informed me early on in the day that she would put up with the camera, but was not a big fan of being the center of attention or having her photo taken. I appreciated her honesty and promised we would make the photography as painless as possible. Would you ever guess this is a woman who is camera shy? She is absolutely stunning!
Meghan's great grandmother made the veil she wore that was originally made for her Grandma. Her dress was costume made to coordinate with the lace in the veil. Beautiful!
