A Sneak Peek at Heather and John's Wedding

Heather and John are the exact kind of couple that we want to attract to work with. We were completely honored when they scheduled their wedding date around our availability. Fortunately for them and us this worked out perfectly because the Saturday before their wedding was extremely rainy and the weather could not have been more beautiful on their wedding day. Heather and John were both up for any kind of "fun photo" suggestions that we made, which always makes the images more interesting and creative for us. To top off the evening the put on quite a show for their first dance. That's right, there was flipping, launching and other acrobatics that required a dress change for Heather. Very impressive!

The Jackson Family Reunion. A celebration of our Grandpa's 90th!

Our Grandpa turned 90 on June 16, 2009. Random luck brought all of our Jackson side of the family together for the reunion. One afternoon was spent taking pictures and eating cake. Things got a little crazy. The were a lot of piggy backing attempts. Our parents were unable to master the "piggy back" because our mom would not stop laughing. Good times!

Erin's pre-wedding pics

On Friday June 12, 2009 I celebrated my girlfriend Erin's Wedding. She made huge efforts to be unique in her wedding practice. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen. There we just supporters of the unification of Erin and her now husband Matt. I took my camera to Durango's "Nobody's Inn" where we were getting ready, but was not allowed to take it to the ceremony. I think I did a good job of filling a few roles for this wedding event. I even tested my skills as a make-up artist. Erin wore her Mom's Gunne Sax dress. Pretty fabulous. For those who know Erin it was just perfect. I love Erin's smile. It is like two smiles in one. :)

Kristen and Paul are getting hitched!

Kristen and Paul met me at there wedding site by Turtle Lake to take their engagement photos. I am excited because I have not shot a wedding at this location. *Bonus* These two are going to be good fun to work with. Anyone who can pull off cute heals like Kristen's and not complain about walking on unstable ground gets an A+ in my book.

Kerry and Skyler's June 6, 2009 Wedding

Not many brides have sisters who preform celebratory burlesque style dances for them at their weddings. If you are part of the Lauth family this is the tradition. I have to say it makes for great photos. Skyler is one lucky man to officially be certified as part of his new family. Truth be told, I think they are more than happy to have him. :)
